Building Surveyor and Sustainability Advisor

Preston Office

What do I do?

I am a Building Surveyor and Sustainability Advisor at Anderton Gables, based in the Preston Office.
I started my career in Building Surveying at a large global consultancy after spending a decade teaching Economics in the UK and overseas. I have completed a Masters degree in Building Surveying and am a licenced BREEAM Assessor as well as being a domestic and non-domestic energy assessor. Alongside my existing qualifications, I am working towards my APC with the goal of gaining MRICS status within the next 12 months.
At AG I am primarily involved with the Projects team, assisting with renovation and redevelopment of residential and commercial space to meet the changing needs of landlords and tenants. I also assist with the Commercial Building Surveying team on dilapidations and schedules of condition.

I also lead AG’s Sustainability service, providing professional advice to both residential and commercial clients on how to improve the environmental impact of their properties. This takes the form of EPC improvement works and retrofit, as well as offering BREEAM advice and assessment on commercial refurbishment and fit-out schemes.

Who am I?

Having spent most of my childhood moving around the world, I am now very happily settled in the Ribble Valley with my husband and young daughter. Outside of work I spend a lot of time training Olympic weightlifting, with the goal of eventually qualifying for the British Master championships.
