Anderton Gables is a Chartered Building Consultancy. The Directors are Jonathan Shaw and Andrew Whittle, both Jonathan and Andrew have many years surveying and project management experience gained through careers at cutting edge practices:-

Jonathan Shaw BSc (Hons) MRICS MBEng RMaPS - Director

Jonathan has been involved in property most of his life being the son of a building contractor.
He worked for the family building firm before deciding to attend university where he subsequently gained a HND in Building Studies followed by an Honours degree in Building Surveying.

Elected to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1999 at a time when he was employed by a national practice specialising in urban regeneration and social housing matters (Arcus Consulting).

In order to gain a wider range of experience, in 2002 Jonathan became Head of Building Surveying for a national commercial consultancy based in Manchester, where he specialised in dilapidations (Storeys SSP). 

He was subsequently approached and recruited to become a specialist neighbourly matters
surveyor dealing with party wall and rights of light issues (Drivers Jonas).

Jonathan's core work continues to include traditional building surveying and project management with an strong emphasis of commercial property matters.

Andrew Whittle BSc (Hons) MRICS - Director

Andrew is a Chartered Building Surveyor and Architectural Designer. He started his career at a  Preston building surveying practice where he developed his skills in a wide range of surveying and design capacities (Jones & Co).

His knowledge of building construction methods developed through the designing process has
meant he has a thorough understanding of buildings, how their put together and therefore how
they can fail.

Following election to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2003, Andrew moved to a highly regarded multi-disciplinary regional practice where he managed development of large residential and commercial projects from feasibility to completion (Glovers PSL).

Andrew's core work continues to include traditional building surveying and project management with an emplhasis on new build construction and the associated contract administration and monitoring.
