The MEES Regulations certify that from April 2018, it is unlawful to let buildings, both residential and commercial, to a new or existing tenant, if they do not achieve a minimum EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) rating of ‘E’ unless the property in question meets exemptions or is outside of the EU requirements for an EPC.
