For three decades, Trinity Hospice has provided excellence in specialist palliative care and has made a huge impact on the community, touching the lives of over 8,000 local people in Lancashire every year. Open 24 hours a day, all year round, the hospice offers excellent modern facilities, with Trinity Hospice and Brian’s House Children’s hospice exceeding expectations of care.
Anderton Gables has been working with Trinity Hospice for almost 5 years and during this time has been involved in a diverse range of projects. We assisted the hospice to successfully bid for funding as part of the ‘help the hospices’ Government Incentive which resulted in a £750,000 refurbishment of Trinity Hospice and Brian House. A major re-roofing scheme was also undertaken whilst the hospice was in full operation and we also project managed the installation of solar panels to the roof to assist in Trinity’s cost saving initiatives.
Jonathan Shaw, Managing Director of Anderton Gables comments “we are very proud of our on-going working relationship with the hospice as the service they provide is invaluable. We have been heavily involved in the pre-acquisition surveys of their proposed Charity Shop Premises and also the pre-acquisition survey and project management of the conversion of a warehouse into Trinity’s hub building where donations are processed to then distribute to charity shops.”
The team at Anderton Gables also managed the preparation and tendering of 3 Year Service Level Agreements with Trinity and related suppliers such as maintenance of grounds, maintenance of buildings and servicing of specialist M&E Equipment. We also prepared a PPM (planned preventative maintenance programme) to assist them with budgeting and building maintenance.
A current project is the design and project management of a new generator housing and stores to the car park area. We wish Trinitiy Hospice and Brian’s House Children’s hospice continued longevity in the exemplary service they provide.
